The Music of Pixar LIVE! A Symphony of Characters, a full-orchestra performance that showcases music from Pixar Animation Studios films, debuts tonight at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The show will be presented three times nightly at the Theater of the Stars through the summer. It follows the regular daily performances of Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage.
The 40-minute show includes highlights from some of Pixar’s greatest scores, from films like “Toy Story” to “Cars 3.” Woody, Jessie, Mike, Sulley and the Incredibles make appearances onstage.
Pixar-film music like Peter Gabriel’s “Down to Earth” from “Wall-E,” and John Mayer’s “Route 66” from “Cars” plays nightly. The green army men characters from “Toy Story,” shout orders at audience members to do push-ups and jumping jacks.
The finale features Randy Newman’s famous “You’ve Got A Friend In Me.”
