Longtime Downtown Disney eatery Earl of Sandwich will be getting a new permanent, two-story location, Disneyland announced Monday night.

The quick-service sandwich shop has been bounced around Downtown Disney the past several years. Its original location first closed in 2018 in order to make room for a hotel project which never came to fruition. After temporarily reopening in 2019, it later moved to another short-term home closer to the theme park entrances at the former La Brea Bakery — which it now has to vacate to make way for Porto’s Bakery.

Disney announced on its official Disney Parks Blog that its permanent home will be two-story building. The ground floor will feature a typical Earl of Sandwich quick service location, while the upstairs will feature a full-service gastropub with a rooftop bar.

No opening timeline for this new location was shared by Disney. Until that permanent home is ready, another temporary Earl of Sandwich location will open near the Star Wars Trading Post.

Along with the Earl of Sandwich news, Disney shared new views of the Parkside Market food hall coming to Downtown Disney district.

The mid-century modern space will have three grab-and-go food locations:

  • Seoul Sister, “a fast-casual modern eatery that will serve a Korean-forward menu based on bibimbap (Korean rice bowls),” according to Disney;
  • Sip & Sonder, featuring lattes, frozen drinks, and Caribbean-style small bites;
  • GG’s Chicken Shop, serving up chicken sandwiches, salads, and classic sides.

Parkside Market will also feature a bar on its second story.

For the center of Downtown Disney, the resort shared new images of three new Mexican restaurants now under construction: Paseo and Centrico, both of which were already announced, and the newly-announced quick-service location, Tiendita.
