The Disneyland Resort’s separately-ticketed Halloween event, Oogie Boogie Bash, will feature some new villains when it begins Sept. 9 at Disneyland California Adventure.

Confirming what was teased earlier this week, Disney announced on its official Parks Blog that its treat trails will “lead you straight into the clutches of Disney villains – some familiar – some new.” The three newcomers mentioned were:

  • Sid from “Toy Story”
  • Cruella from this year’s live-action “Cruella” film
  • Agatha Harkness from the Marvel series “WandaVision” on Disney+

Until now, Marvel villains have largely been excluded from Disneyland’s Halloween festivities. There has been greater synergy between the West Coast parks and the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the introduction of Avengers Campus, which has included character appearances based on MCU series on Disney+.

Like the Oogie Boogie Bash in 2019, the DCA event will feature a re-theming of the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail called Villains Grove, the Frightfully Fun Parade starring the Headless Horseman, and the “Monsters After Dark” overlay of the Guardians of the Galaxy attraction.

The event will take over DCA on select nights from Sept. 9 through Halloween from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Ticketholders will be able to enter the park starting at 3 p.m., but as of Aug. 26, all tickets to the event have sold out.
