Disneyland will be getting rid of two significant perks for on-site hotel guests in early 2026.
Starting on Jan. 5, 2026, Disneyland will no longer offer the Early Entry benefit for guests staying at the Disneyland Hotel, Grand Californian Resort & Spa, or Pixar Place Hotel. This perk lets people staying at these often pricey hotels into one of the two Disneyland Resort theme parks 30 minutes earlier than other guests, promising shorter waits on select rides.
In its place, on-site guests will instead get one free entry into a Lightning Lane during their stay. Their choices will be limited to rides included on the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, so the perk cannot be used on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance or Radiator Springs Racers.
According to Nexstar’s Scott Gustin, Disneyland officials justified the end of Early Entry by saying the benefit was “not widely used.” The perk had previously been cut back in 2024 when Disneyland stopped offering Early Entry in both parks each day. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Early Entry allowed eligible guests inside the parks 60 minutes early instead of 30.
The second perk going away affects only Pixar Place Hotel guests, as Disney is closing the hotel’s dedicated entrance into Disney California Adventure.
The entrance, which opened in 2022, will also be closed starting on Jan. 5, 2026. Pixar Place guests will be allowed to use the DCA entrance inside the Grand Californian.
