Disneyland is once again pausing new sales of its Magic Key annual passes, less than a day after they went on sale for the first time in nine months.
After sales resumed on Wednesday at 9 a.m. Pacific time, the Inspire, Believe and Enchanted Keys all sold out within a matter of hours. Guests who waited online reported the virtual queue took up to seven hours, while showing up to buy the passes in person at Disneyland Resort led to waits as long as four hours.
That left the Southern California-only Imagine Key as the last option, and that tier also sold out by noon on Thursday. Anyone trying to buy passes after that time would be met with this message:
Due to the incredible popularity of our Magic Key program, we have stopped sales of new passes at this time to help protect the experience for Magic Key holders and the value those passes provide.
Renewals for current Magic Key holders—within their renewal window (currently up to 30 days before pass expiration)—are being offered for all available pass types (Inspire, Believe, Enchant and Imagine) at this time, but are subject to change.
The speed of the sellout was change from the last Magic Key sale in May 2023. While the three higher-tiered passes were gone in less than five days, Imagine Keys remained available until September.
