The Disneyland Resort has no shortage of non-Disney hotel options within short distance of its parks, but only a few actually back right up into the resort itself.

Desert Palms Hotel & Suites is one of those hotels, located behind Disney California Adventure near the corner of Harbor and Katella. It’s a relatively short walk to the parks, though not the shortest you can find. Somehow I’ve found the oddity of seeing the backside of Cars Land from a hotel that isn’t operated by Disney appealing and have wanted to stay here for a while.

For $144 per night for my January 2025 stay, the relative proximity to Disneyland was worth it, but don’t expect each of the Desert Palms’ amenities to be worth it.
