Staying at a Disney-owned hotel at Walt Disney World will come with a new perk in 2025: water park admission.

Disney announced Monday that starting next year, stays at Disney World resorts will include admission to either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach on guests’ check-in day. The fine print provided by Disney mentions that this benefit is limited to the guests listed on the room reservation.

Guests can expect only to get one water park visit out of this benefit. Disney has typically staggered operations of its two water parks so that only one is open at a time and the other undergoes seasonal maintenance. The next switch will take place when Blizzard Beach closes after March 16 and Typhoon Lagoon reopens the next day, having been shuttered since November

According to’s history of Disney refurbishments, the last day that the two water parks operated simultaneously was Sept. 7, 2019.

The new perk will also only be available to hotels truly owned and operated by Disney. Other hotels located Disney World property but not owned by Disney, like the Swan, Dolphin, Shades of Green, or the hotels along Hotel Plaza Boulevard near Disney Springs, are not eligible.

Two separate perks, however, will include those third-party hotels. Disney also announced it will be keeping its Early Entry benefit for 2025, allowing on-site guests to enter Disney World theme parks 30 minutes early each day. The Extended Evening Hours perk has also been renewed for next year, where guests at which Disney Deluxe Resorts — along with the Swan, Dolphin, Swan Reserve and Shades of Green — get up to two extra hours at one Disney park on select nights.
