Disney will prohibit guests from smoking or bringing large stroller wagons and loose ice into its American theme parks, including those at Walt Disney World.

The smoking ban will eliminate smoking areas inside Disney World’s theme parks, water parks and ESPN Wide World of Sports on May 1. The only smoking section will be located outside the park entrances, with guests allowed to exit and re-enter if they want a cigarette or to use a vaping device. The smoking policy at Disney Springs won’t be changed.

The new stroller policy will also take effect May 1.

“We are adjusting our guidelines on stroller sizes, which will require them to be no larger than 31″ (79cm) wide and 52″ (132cm) long,” Disney wrote on its parks blog. “The good news – many strollers on the market, including many double jogging strollers, fit within these size guidelines. Also, just a reminder that wagons are not permitted in our parks. Beginning May 1, stroller wagons will also no longer be permitted. These updates are designed to help guest flow and ease congestion, making the parks more enjoyable for everyone.”

Georgia-based Keenz Stroller Wagons is ask its customers to call and email Disney asking them to reverse course on the stroller wagon ban.

“Disney needs to know that this is a concern and is meaningful in how it’s negatively impacting that magical trip you had planned with your family and a product that helps make the day easier while making memories of a lifetime,” the company wrote on its Facebook page.

New policies on bringing ice into the parks will go into effect immediately.

Any guests bringing coolers to store drinks or snacks is being asked to keep items chilled with reusable ice packs. Loose or dry ice will no longer be allowed.

The motivation for the new policy “was to help streamline the bag check process,” Disney spokesperson Erica Ettori told Orlando Rising.

Disney World guests who wants a cup of ice or ice water can find it free of charge at any quick service dining location inside the parks.
