Early August is now Halloween season — at least at Walt Disney World.
The 2026 edition of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom will be starting on Aug. 7, the earliest start ever for the seasonal event. The full slate of Not-So-Scary dates are:
- Aug. 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28 and 30
- Sept. 1, 4, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27 and 29
- Oct. 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 18, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29 and 31
Disney has creeped up the start of its signature Magic Kingdom Halloween party almost every year, with 2024 setting the previous record with an Aug. 9 start. The event is running for the same number of nights (38) as it did in 2024 and 2025.
As for what you’ll get to experience at this year’s Not-So-Scary, Disney is promising the return of seasonal favorites such Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” stage show, and special character greetings, including Mickey Mouse in his Halloween attire.
The only new offering confirmed so far is Stitch hosting what Disney calls “an ever-changing dance party at the Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland with the help of his friends Lilo and Angel.”
Tickets for the 2026 event will stay consistent with last year’s prices, ranging from $119 to $229 per person depending on the exact party date. Admission to the event requires a separate ticket and is not included with regular daytime admission to the Magic Kingdom.
