Those with the more expensive levels of annual passes for Walt Disney World can soon register for three after-hours events at the Magic Kingdom and Epcot which will offer access to select attractions, shops and restaurants in those parks with far smaller crowds.
As Disney announced Monday, these new “V.I.Passholder” events will be open to Gold, Platinum, Platinum Plus and Premier Annual Passholders. Guests will have to register beforehand with slots being filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Additionally, passholder can only register for one of the three events:
– Aug. 5 at the Magic Kingdom from 10 p.m. to midnight.
– Sept. 6 at Epcot from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.
– Oct. 25 at Epcot from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.
There will be no additional charge to attend the event.
Disney didn’t offer any additional information on how many rides and shops will be open for these events. The company advised annual passholders to keep checking their emails for future updates.
Once registration opens, slots are likely to fill up quickly. When Disney allowed passholders to sign up for exclusive access to Toy Story Land, it took only three hours for all 20 events throughout the month of September to sell out.
Disney is also promising extra “V.I.Passholder” perks in the future. These will include special giveaways during Disney World’s seasonal events, “exclusive sneak peeks” of new offerings in the Disney parks and events at Disney Springs where passholders get extra discounts on merchandise.
