If you’re search for off-site accommodations for your trip to the Orlando area, you’ll see plenty of familiar brands. One chain, however, is probably a mystery to those who aren’t Central Florida locals: Rosen Hotels.
This is not a mom-and-pop local motel. The Rosen brand has been around the area since the 1970s, founded by Harris Rosen, a former director of hotel planning at the Walt Disney Company. The Rosen name adorns seven hotel properties in and around Orlando, and I’ve stayed in several of them in my search for reliable hotels at a lower price than what Disney and Universal typically charge.
The closest one to Walt Disney World is the Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista, just northeast of Disney Springs. It was a comfortable stay, and the hotel offers a few extra amenities to elevate it above typical off-site accommodations, but there are some potential downsides that you should consider before booking.
