Walt Disney World Resort has released its latest upcharge with a $120 cookout and viewing of the Independence Day fireworks from the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
Yes, the grill will include the classic hot dog and baked beans but finer tastes will prevail with steak and shrimp, specialty drinks, beer and wine.
The evening begins with a 7 p.m. dinner at the resort’s Summerhouse, followed by dessert and a lakefront viewing of the fireworks from the Grand Floridian Marina. A live DJ and crafts for kids will round out the evening.
If it rains, the event will move to the Grand Floridian Convention Center.
The $120 cost does not include taxes; ages 3-11 are $59.
The pricey cookout is one of several upcharges Disney has introduced that include a $199 VIP tour of the Magic Kingdom, a $129 guided Star Wars Land tour and $49 per person ice cream social to meet Princess Tiana.
