The 2019 edition of Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival will be longest ever, Disney announced Wednesday.
The festival run a total of 87 days from August 29 through November 23. Notably, the event opens the same day as the debut of Disney World’s version of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, offering another option for guests who don’t want to deal with the massive crowds expected for the 14-acre addition at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
“This year’s festival will continue its tradition of offering tasty dishes, fine dining events, and appearances by favorite Disney culinarians and top celebrity chefs,” Disney World editorial content manager Jennifer Fickley-Baker wrote on the Disney Parks Blog.
As usual, the festival will include the Eat to the Beat Concert Series at Epcot’s America Gardens Theatre, featuring a “lineup of pop, rock, R&B, country, Christian, swing and Latin artists” yet to be announced.
The concert series will wrap up before the rest of Food & Wine on November 19 to prepare for the next festival on Epcot’s crowded calendar, the International Festival of the Holidays. This year’s edition will run from November 29-December 30.
The holiday festival will once again feature special offerings at all 11 pavilions in World Showcase as well as the Candlelight Processional with celebrity narrators retelling the story of Christmas.
