Islands of Adventure at Universal Orlando will be running a new nighttime projection show inside the Wizarding World of Harry Potter beginning Sept. 14.

First announced in February, the “Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle” show debuted at Universal Studios Hollywood. The Orlando version inside Hogsmeade will feature Death Eaters — the followers of Lord Voldemort — lurking among the guests before the projections on Hogwarts Castle begin.

The show “will illuminate a darker side of the wizarding world as sinister creatures and villains – such as Dementors, Aragog, Mountain Trolls, Thestrals and more – cloak the castle through a mesmerizing display of light, music and special effects,” Universal said in a press release. “Guests will be asked to summon their inner strength and bravely face the Dark Arts and the visage of the powerful Dark wizard Lord Voldemort, until the Patronus spell – one of the most famous, difficult and powerful defense of the Dark Arts charms in the wizarding world – is cast.”

“Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle” will run on select nights until Nov. 15. It will be replaced by the seasonal “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts” show.

This will be the third new nighttime show at Universal Orlando over the past 18 months. Universal Studios Florida debuted the Cinematic Celebration show in July 2018, with the same technology being used for the new Halloween Marathon of Mayhem during Halloween Horror Nights 2019.

It’s also the second major addition to Hogsmeade in 2019, following the June opening of Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure
