For two weekends in June, Cedar Point will hold a new, adults-only, separately-ticked event featuring after-hours access to major coasters along with special entertainment and food offerings.
Called Wild Frontier Nights, the event will be held June 3, 4, 10 and 11 from 9 p.m. to midnight. As explained on Cedar Point’s website, “Your limited-attendance event ticket to Wild Frontier Nights comes complete with private access to Frontier Town for a dust storm full of activity, including hearty tastes from the chef’s private recipe collection, hand-crafted cocktails you can’t sip anywhere else, boot-scootin’ live music, dancing, bull riding and fun event-only activities for adults.”
Tickets cost $100, with bundles pre-purchase some of the exclusive food and cocktails.

Entertainment for the event will include a live DJ, several different country-tinged performances (including “Lusty Lil’s Rough & Rowdy Review”), and axe-throwing and mechanical bull-riding competitions.
For those Cedar Point fans who are more interested in potentially shorter waits for rides, the park is listing the following attractions as available for the event:
- Steel Vengeance
- Maverick
- Cedar Creek Mine Ride
- Wave Swinger
- Skyhawk
Guests will have to be 21 or older to attend and will have to enter the park through the Magnum XL-200 Gate near the Cedar Point Shores water pass. Tickets will be required for everyone, as Cedar Point is not including the event on season passes.
The separately-ticketed event is one of several new offerings for the 2022 season for the Sandusky, Ohio park. Two Cedar Point-owned resorts will reopen this spring after substantial renovations: Castaway Bay, which was been closed since the COVID-19 pandemic began, will welcome guests back on May 6, in time for Cedar Point’s opening day on May 7. Sawmill Creek, a 239-room resort which the park acquired in 2019, will reopen on June 13.
