Cedar Fair says it will fill 45,000 seasonal positions across its parks for the 2021 season.
The theme park chain lost $590 million in 2020, but expects 2021 to be an improvement.
The event will run on select dates from March 5 through May 2.
The bill would allow theme parks in reopen in the "Moderate" tier of the state's COVID-19 reopening plan, rather than the "Minimal" tier.
The list includes California's Great America, even with the state's stringent reopening guidelines.
The theme park industry still wants the state to lower its reopening standards, but even then, no county comes close to meeting those metrics.
Knott's will now extend passes into 2022 for each day the park remains closed.
