Carowinds’ Camp Snoopy will get a new roller coaster and a new splash battle boat ride next year.

The Charlotte, North Carolina park described the additions in a Wednesday press release “as part of the largest investment in family attractions in the park’s history,” which will also include a new meet-and-greet with Peanuts characters inside a remodeled Camp Store and new splash pads.

The new coaster, Snoopy’s Racing Railway, will be a clone of the ride of the same name that opened at Canada’s Wonderland last May. The family coaster built by Germany’s ART Engineering will feature a 31-mph launch and a total of 804 feet of track.

Charlie Brown’s River Raft Blast is an interactive boat ride built by Mack Rides, the same manufacturer as Carowinds’ Copperhead Strike coaster.

Like other splash battle rides, the attraction centers around water blasters both on the boat and off the ride getting each other soaked from as far as 33 feet away.

“We’re excited to introduce the latest adventures in Camp Snoopy in 2025,” said Manny Gonzalez, vice president and general manager for Carowinds, in a press release. “Our re-imagined Camp Snoopy will allow families to ride and play together, immersing them in a summer camp experience with the Peanuts gang.”

Carowinds has not added a coaster since 2019 when Copperhead Strike debuted. Snoopy’s Racing Railway will be the park’s 15th coaster overall, assuming that no existing coaster closes before its 2025 debut.
