Part of Busch Gardens Tampa Bay’s Jungala section will be getting a revamp next year into a new kid-friendly area called Wild Oasis.

According to Busch Gardens press release issued Tuesday, Wild Oasis will include a “newly reimagined drop tower” (the former Wild Surge), an interactive water play area and a climbing canopy, along with a new animal habitat. The new area takes the place of the long-shuttered Treetop Trails.

“It’s been five years since guests last stepped foot in the tucked away realm of Treetop Trails in the Jungala area of Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, and we are thrilled to breathe new life into this corner of the park with the development of this realm,” Busch Gardens Tampa Bay park president Stewart Clark said in a press release. “The all-new Wild Oasis truly offers something for everyone – whether you love the thrill of the ride or learning about animals, getting wet or climbing high, or just cooling off under the shade of the rainforest canopy.”

Wild Oasis is the latest in a series of newly-marketed attractions by United Parks & Resorts (formerly SeaWorld) aimed at younger ages.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and SeaWorld Orlando each added family coasters to their lineup this year. Busch Gardens Williamsburg will follow suit in 2025 with its recently-announced family inverted coaster.
